Violet Studio LSL Issues - Please Read

Well, looks like Linden Lab have been making SL better again by breaking loads of scripts across the grid with "security" updates and it seems some of my products were not immune from this.

Since 2010 I have been using a texture application script on various products.

These include all LTX, Headmasters and Cyber Studio Hairs and Demon Studio Wings and Classic Hooves.

After a marathon session in the lab I have repaired all the items in the stores that have been affected, however many of these products were no available to update and the hooves and wings had the Hippo Update system broken when Hippo as a business shut down.

So... what to do?

Sadly due to the sheer number of items and products and customers buying these over the years, I cannot do manual updates and I am sorry to say, I will not be doing that. It would simply overwhelm me.

However... I have put out in store the updated scripts for all these products along with instructions on how to update them yourself. It is not complex - it is just rezzing the product out, deleting one or two scripts in the item, then putting in the updated scripts.

You can find this update in the Demon Studio, Cyber Studio (where the hairs are), LTX Studio (next to the hairs again) and in the Headmasters Store too.

It is free, buy it, follow the instructions and you are all good.

I am sorry about this and as usual Linden Labs do love improving things by breaking them. All good fun.

Fusion Male - Drider & Mech Drider Bodies.

Okay I get the message. Guys really wanted these so who am I to argue?
What you have here are the Fusion Male versions of the Driders. As you can see they are every bit as imposing and scary as the female ones and look just as fantastic.
Featuring a combination of the Genesis upper body matched to a specifically made torso for the body adaption, these are every bit as good as they look.

The complete bodies are 2000L$ each.
However if you already have Fusion Male then there is Pick N Mix Torsos available for 1000L$.

See... I do listen! :)

Fusion Cyber Studio - Mech Drider

No sooner than I got the Drider in store, requests started flooding in for other odd ball creations, but the big one I got multiple requests for was a Cyber Mech Drider.

Who am I to argue with that, and a considerable amount of messing around later, I am very pleased to release the new Violet Cybernetics / Fusion Cross over in the shape of the Mech Drider.

This is an extreme Cyber style body with animated glow sections.
There are 12 base textures of which 6 are two tone. As per the fleshy version of the Drider, the Abdomen and Legs can be textured separately. You also have Glow control over these two areas too.

Price wise, it is 2000L$ for the complete body, or if you own Fusion already, the Torso only versionis 1000L$. You can find this both in the Cyber Studio or in the Fusion Main Stores.

Here are some extra piccies to give you a better idea.

Violet Cybernetics - Cold Fusion 3 Boots & Dark Tech 2 Cybersuit

Since the mass release of the 2016 Cyber Studio at the weekend (see post below), I have been working through the final two products in the studio bringing them in to 2016.

Firstly is the Cold Fusion Boots.
Originally designed back in 2009, I have to say these have remained pretty much unchanged since launch outside of the conversion to Unlimited 3 some years back.
Well, that changes today.

The old prim sculpt design is now a thing of the past. Although based on the original design, Version 3 Cold Fusion boots have been heavily breathed on and cleaned up now in full mesh.
In addition, where as the original boots were simple attachments, these new boots come in two flavours. As per the original, you get static mesh version which can be modded and edited to fit a variety of avatars. That said you also get Fitted Mesh versions.
It doesnt stop there. The boots now feature full materials, giving them a whole new advanced level of depth and detailing. And if that wasnt enough, you get three versions. Classic "Carbon inlay" design from the original boots. But you also get LTX and Verotic Leather  Boot packs - 15 leather textures and 19 Latex textures.
Finally there is the metal elements which are now Unlimited 3 Cyber texture pack compatible, as well as U3 Cyber Materials compatible.

The Dark Tech Cyber Suit has been around now for many years, and whole being upgraded here and there, not a great deal has changed with it.

Version 2 sees it brought fully up to date though.
For male and female, you now get Full materials support for ADV and Omega. so you can get that rich detail look on your mesh body.
For female, there is also the added bonus of vString Materials support too.

I would have had these out sooner if not for the grid problems this weekend and more over last night.

In total though, that is Violet Cybernetics now brought up to 2016 standards and a completed job.

Enjoy!

Violet Cybernetics Rebooted

Back in 2009 I opened Violet Cybernetic with my organic technology style design work which revolutionised the scene featured at the time full of more “robotic” style items from other creators.
Since then the Cyber Studio has remained very popular with people and has seen the evolution and upgrades to many products.
As you will have seen late last year, I surprised and shocked many in the Demon Studio with the release of the Tartarus generation of Mesh and Materials enhanced production converting over older design work to 2016 specs and its fair to say Materials transformed both the look and quality of the products.

Well, its Violet Cybernetics Turn now.
I have over the last month been slowly working through every single Cyber product, looking at, reworking, cleaning up and enhancing in mesh.
Every single product has been rebuilt and in many cases improved on.
On top of all of this, I have also created some new textures for Unlimited 3 based around the Hanabi 2.0 upgrades, and perhaps the bigger job, I have created a new Cyber only Materials system with 6 primary materials that cover both Metal and Base zones, not to mention 5 primary shine systems too. Yeah, I have been busy and its all in store now.

You want some highlights?

As usual, the products that came with updaters – Dark and Light Mech arms and legs, Wings and a number of other item – have all gone in to the update servers so just wear your updater to get the latest copy.

Needless to say , I am over the moon with the look and style of the 2016 Violet Cybernetic Reboot – come take a look in store and see what you think though.

Hanabi Worxx 2.0 Store Relaunch

When Violet Studios Opened back in 2009, I have always had close friends and fellow builders working with me in collaboration.
One of the oldest of these business partners was theDandelion, owner of Hanabi Worxx.

Sadly earlier this year, she decided to leave the grid, partly to focus more on her commercial artwork, and partly for reasons outside of her control.
As you may have noticed a few weeks back, the Hanabi Worxx store closed down and Violet Cybernetics moved up there however the plan was never to completely close the store down.
In our last conversation outside of SL, Dande transferred the rights to her store to me, and gave me licence to recreate her products and at the time I had decided to bring back a small number of her best sellers.

Recreating Hanabi Worxx is however a far more complex and convoluted task than it may sound. The Hanabi Worxx product lines were by todays standards very old, if still brilliant.
The process of recreation has taken me longer than I thought.
The first job really was to take a look at the complete store and its products, and which products should be recreated and which should go.
After a great deal of deliberating, I can confirm that all mesh outfits,  Clothing, a number of avatars and other the Hanabi VSX items sadly will not be coming back. However there are many products that are.

Introducing Hanabi Worxx 2.0
Hanabi Worxx 2.0 takes the original spirit of Dande’s store, and bring it in to the modern mesh era.
This initial release features many products you will be familiar with, but with a whole new twist to them.

As this is a PG blog, I cant show you everything picture wise, but I can give you a breakdown.

Moon Stomper 2.0 take what was a classic design from Hanabi and utterly turns it on its head. The original versions were prim and sculpt. The new ones are single piece fitted mesh. Featuring complete Violet Studios Texture reworks built from scratch, they include full materials support too, as well as Unlimited 3 Cyber integration.
Price is 500L$

Bulge String 2.0 at first glance is almost the same as the original, but that is just skin deep. Again, this new Version come in 4 piece mesh, with easy manual adjustment for the side belts now included. Unlike the original “multi vendor” options, you get all 11 Basic strings in one pack with Unlimited 3 control, plus you get 8 new Rubber textures for the bulge.
Price is 300.

Nightmare Tail 2.0  -This tail should be very familiar as it is just a straight conversion, however where it is different is the fact you now get full Headmaster 4 textures with 72 different tail hair textures on offer. At 300, this is very neat.

Hanabi Insanity Make up Line – As with all Hanabi Worxx skins, they came with integrated make ups in the skin, however I have recreated 5 of Dande’s best make ups in the new ADV2 Make up style.
Price is 150 each or 500 for the fat pack.

Drenai Avatars – I loved these original avatars. The updated 2.0 Avatar brings all new tech. First you get all 3 primary avatars (Tiger, Panther and Leopard) in one box, you get ears, horns and tail as per the original. Hooves now include the Skizma Fitted Mesh hooves, with clothing layers. You also get hair, eyes, shapefile too. Most important though, these are ADV2 Spec. That means you get implant appliers for Tangos, vString, Icon and Ecorp. You also get ADV2 mesh body appliers with Materials support, and as per ADV2 specs, these are compatible with Omega Advanced. Price is 1600.

Just need the skin update for the Drenai? Then that is available too. You get the same ADV2 specs, with the skin (including the reworked and improved face) – price is 600 for all 3 and will bring your Drenais up to date.

Skunky 2.0 – Refreshed and reinvigorated, Skunky 2.0 features the upgraded Skunky skin, with again Full ADV2 specs (implants, mesh body and omega advanced), Mesh Ears, a recreated Mesh Skunky Tail, and the Fusion Anthro Heavy Legs. Price is 1200 or if you just want the skin only update with the same ADV2 specs, that comes in at 400.

Tattoo – With reworking, I have released the refreshed versions of the Cumoflage and Star Tattoos. These come in full tattoo layer SL body styles, and you also get ADV spec Tattoo layer appliers, which are also via the Violet Studios Omega Bridge compatible with Omega too. Priced at 150 Each these are excellent Value.

These refreshed products are in the original Hanabi Worxx store now. Customers do need to note that these are not updates. They are for the most part completely refreshed products and sadly I wont be doing update for existing customers.

Coming next is the Woolie’s Spagetti project  which should appear in store soon. This has been probably the biggest headache of the Hanabi 2.0 project but are nearing completion now.
Also the Partner to the Moon Stompers is coming with a massive style update – the Star Cat Armour.
There will also be a hand full of other items such as her hats etc.
I am hoping to have the first parts of these project out within the next day or two.

I hope you like these fresh looks at Hanabi Worxx.

As with all ADV2 makeups, these make ups come with build in ADV appliers for Fusion etc, and also via the omega bridge, you can also apply these to any Omega ready Mesh Head.

Demon Studio - Wings and Hooves Update

As you may have seen above, we have recently released the ADV Demoness skins, and as part of that update, we created 15 all new colours for our customers.

It goes without saying that I like to keep all my products up to date especially when I releasing new skins, so as a result of that, all 10 new Elyssian and 5 new Abyss colours are now available on both our wings and hooves.

On the wings though, there was a phantom bug that had been irritating me for a very long time and for love nor money I couldnt trace it back... in fact I couldnt even get it to happen but I have seen customers enduring the bug, and I knew it was there.
As part of this update to the ADV skin colours, I decided once and for all to hammer down this bug, find out what it was and why it was happening.
And after 2 hours of looking like a rabbit hopping all over the place, I finally managed to find the specific series of buttons to mash on the hud to get the bug to happen.

Needless to say, once found it wasnt a hard job to repair it so if you were one of the many who had issues with the wings not closing on landing even though the wings were set to auto - its now fixed on the Mark 9 Wing release.

As always these updates are free (and remember, many of our wings are nearly 5 YEARS old now so... its been 5 years of development and updates all given free).
On the Wings, simply wear the wings hud and you will be sent the update. This update applies to ALL wings - even the Cyber wings which needed the script updates for the Auto folding issues.
On the Hooves, look in the original sales folder and you will find the Updater box - wear it and a new copy of your hooves will be sent! These updates are available for Male and Female current model hooves.

Enjoy!

Headmasters / Violet Cybernetic Cross over

Sometimes I have ideas in my head, and they tend to just sit there, and dance around forever and the Headmasters Cyber line has been one such idea that up until now, has been something I wanted to do, but never did.

I supposed I could waffle on about this, but I am not going to. Easier to give you the skinny and a few press shots.
The Headmasters Cyberline, at least from the outside will be familiar as they work on a similar basis to the headmaster hairs with the same colour packs.
Obviously you get the Anime, Candy, Punk and Unnaturals, all in the regular 8 colours
You also get Red, Black, Blonde, Brown, and White, but not quite the same as normal - they only have 8 colours - the tipped versions are not available.
On the flip side of this though, you dont really loose out, as (you will see the from the marketing shots) these hairs come with quite aggressive streaking elements which are available on the second part of the hud.
For those, you get an additional 20 colours.
On top of all of this, you will also noticing the hard glow elements. The little (and often animated) elements are also full colour change with Unlimited 2 so while most of the marketing shows these as aqua glows, you can pick any colour you want!

In the first part of the release I have put out 7 hairs to start with, and this morning, I also release the Dysk Hair.

They are all in store now, and heres the eyecandy.

Verotic Evolution Make Up System Launched

Second Life Skins
When I originally created Verotic, things on Second Life were rather more basic that they are today. Back then, if you wanted to do a skin, you had one basic option – The Skin layer. You could of course tweek those skin layers by adding “extra” layers over the top but there was one thing that couldn’t be changed – the face.
Over the last 3 years though things on Second Life have changed thanks to the Tattoo layer.
Now, I hear you say, but surely we have had tattoo layer for nearly 3 years now. Its true, we have. However there has been a rather sizeable but surrounding this. Which is of course, you could only wear one tattoo layer. In the last year or so that has changed, with the introduction of multi layers. What this means is you can wear and “stack” up to five tattoo layers at once. However... there was still a but over this.
It has only been within the last three or so months that the user percentages of people using multi layer capable viewers has got to a point where its become realistic to look in detail at doing complex stacked tattoo layers.

Verotic Dilemma
So... we have got the background which then brings us to Verotic and the nightmare that left me quaking. Most people will probably think that doing make ups isn’t a hard job really. You would be wrong. When I first started Verotic, it wasn’t exactly easy, and I only had the original Celeste skin. Since then I have introduced the Gia and Ori skins, not to mention my other specialist skins.

But whats the issue?
Each individual skin, comes with 8 skins that need editing for just one make up.

And there are 8 skin tones for example on Ava. Thats 64 Skins that need to be edited.
Of course, if I add it to Ava, I also have to do Gia and Ori. 64+64+32=160 Skins to Edit.
Oh... Cant forget I have Ava Muscle, Ava Pumped and Ori  Muscle – 160+160=320 Skins.

And finally – this is just 1 individual make up. Each pack I release has 5 different make ups...
So... For me to do one new make up pack means editing 1600 skins. And of course, don’t forget the 200 demos for those skins, and the 400 older make up layers.
Then I have to redo all the marketing, and press shots, board assembly etc etc. Not to mention, each of those files has to be quality controlled as the viewer does have an error ratio of about 1%...

Over all, doing the make ups takes a few days each.
Assembling them requires editing 2200 items, and roughly 2 weeks of solid, day in and out work.

Perhaps it make sense, that I am very reluctant and daunted by adding just one new make up pack to the Verotic skins line. The old method is quite flawed.... so there has to be a solution?

The Evolution Revolution
Evolution is a whole new way of looking at Make ups at Verotic. Ultilising the new multi layer system tattoo layers, and using the stacking idea, Evolution means things work a lot better for me, as each make up now only requires the creation of 19 Tattoo layers, and its better for you because regardless of if you buy Gia 08 or Ava 01, once you have bought the new make up, it can be used on any Verotic or Violet Studios skin.

Evolution has really brought up an interesting effect though.
The basic Verotic skin line, as it is at the moment, has 25 make ups per skin. This is where the real power behind the evolution model comes in to its own – there are now over 80 make ups in store, with new Natural, Gothica, City and Lust models. Not to mention the all new Cyber line. This has changed the Verotic equation in a massive way.

But, there is more... This new system means creating all new base model skins is not the epic job that I have had to deal with before.
The new Evolution skins are due to arrive soon. Basically buy one skin, then add the make up you want on top. I have technically had three all new skins sitting in inventory now for the last year, which I have been putting off releasing due to the sheer volume of time it would have taken to create them.

Finally, thanks to this system, it means that Verotic will be releasing new make ups in store probably every few weeks now!

Getting Set up for Evolution
Firstly if you buy any of our skins after the 3rd Feb 2012, you will find not only is the make up you bought in there, but there is also another “Blanker” skin. To use Evolution, all you do is wear the blanker, then the make up... simples!
The last thing I want to do though is have customers buying a whole new skin so I have had to change a few things.

With each Violet Studios skin, you will have received a breast implant appliers box – if you wear the updater that is in that box, you will find you will receive the new “Blanker” Tattoo – this is effective a plain make up with no eyebrows. When you unpack it, simply wear the model you want.

On top of that, you need to add the new make up of your choice. This is where things get rather neat. In the make up box, you will find there are 6 eyebrow models, in three Shade tones.
Obviously for 01 to 03 skins you will need the Light Tone. For 04 to 06 skins, wear the mid, and for 07 to 08 wear the Dark.

For the new make ups, I really did a number for you. There are 6 eyebrows. These are split in to White, Brown or Black. And, you can choose from those, thin or thicker models.

Also in the box you will find that you can also get the “no brow” model which can be used in combination with the separate eyebrow layers (which come with the Verotic Blanker Tattoo / Skin). Both of these are tintable, so you can, if you want, fiddle with the set up to your hearts content. For example wearing the white brows, you can tint them pink!

And that ... is why its called Evolution...

Cyber Studio - Darktech Male Cyber Suit Release

For over a year now, there has been pictures popping up in the cyber store of the now released Darktech Suit.
Darktech originally started off life in my design box as a full skin, however it quickly evolved into a tattoo layer overlay so it could be used with a variety of skins. However although I had done the design work in bulk and I was using the Suit on the female (and *Coughs* male advertising too), the suit was unfinished.
However after many months of customers poking me, I finally released it although at the time the project was still unfinished, as I quickly found out as soon as the Female suit was released, I had male customers begging me to release a male designed version.

As I have been going through the stores, getting all the marketing up to date, and sorted out, I sat down yesterday and got to work, finalising the Male version of Dark Tech.

Its in store now.

(Slightly Anticlimatic really....)
